About Prek Toal Home Stay

Experience life in the floating village of Prek Toal first hand, by spending some quality time with us in our village.

Prek Toal Home Stay offers you an opportunity to share accommodation with the villagers in the unique floating Prek Toal Village and houses. Stay a night, or more, and get to know us in our Prek Toal Home Stay

You will learn most about our culture and our people by sharing our lives this way. We welcome you to experience living with us and being a big part of our daily lives. The Room rates are include daily local breakfast, tea and coffee.

Prek Toal Home Stay are not like guest houses or hotels. These are the regular floating houses of the villagers; and one house can provide up to 5 single mattresses with shared bathroom, and with villagers’ families who live on the floating villages that you will stay with.

Their houses are made from wood, both the floors and walls. Many of the roofs are metal but some are also made from the leaves of palm trees. The villagers use bamboos for the stilts to keep the houses well above water level.

You will enjoy your time in the Prek Toal Home Stay – a unique experience.

> In the sleeping house you will find:

  • The bathroom facilities include:
    • Toilet (without flush, like the villagers you simply pour water in the toilet to clear it)

It is 25 km away from Siem Reap - Angkor International Airport and 80 km away from Battambang city. It’s takes around 1 hour drive from Siem Reap boat station and 6 hours drive from Battambang boat station by engine boat.
